Week #8


Week 8:

Started this week by creating a timer and an altitude tracker. I tried to add some functionality to the altitude tracker so that it would flash red if you lose enough progress, and while it works I am not crazy about the end product.

I added SFX for the jump, landing on grass and water, as well as SFX for the grapple function. I added a lockout on the landing sound so that if you make contact with multiple parts of the ground it will not repeat the landing sound. The SFX is something I would like to revisit later, but for the time being I think it's okay as I still have a lot to do to hit my sprints. The logic is there to replace the SFX later when I find the time.

I added a slider to the pause menu to adjust my SFX array from the sound manager, so now all SFX can be adjusted with a multiplier.
