Week 5


Week 5: 

After doing playtesting I worked out creating a better scaffolding for the player to learn the skills in a lower stakes ground floor section of the game. The game used to start at the lilypad section, so I added an easy jump challenge first, and then a “Long jump” challenge, that players will need to complete before getting to the Lilypad section that will challenge both the short and long jump capabilities of the player.

The swing mechanic was first present after a mushroom bounce, which felt a little too punishing to the player for its first appearance. So I have added a grounded grapple section to help the player better learn the mechanic before being thrown into the deep end that is the next grappling section.

I also made some cute little bushes to help further populate my space
